CCI-certified ceramic coating installation in Peoria, IL — bonded to your paint, registered to your CARFAX, and backed by a manufacturer warranty. The kind of protection that holds up to Illinois winters, summer UV, and everything in between.
A ceramic coating is a professional-grade liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your vehicle’s clear coat, creating a hard, transparent protective layer on top of the paint. Once cured, it acts as a sacrificial barrier — taking the abuse from UV rays, road salt, bug guts, bird droppings, water spots, and light contamination so your factory paint doesn’t have to.
Unlike wax or spray sealants — which sit on top of the paint and wash off after a few weeks — a properly installed ceramic coating becomes part of the surface. Water beads and sheets off. Dirt and grime don’t bond the same way, making every wash dramatically easier and faster. And the gloss and depth a coating adds to corrected paint is unmistakable.
For most vehicle owners, the practical difference shows up in three places: how the vehicle looks, how easy it is to clean, and what it’s worth when you sell it. Coated paint holds depth and gloss for years, washes in a fraction of the time, and — when registered to your CARFAX history — directly supports a higher resale number when you trade or sell. It’s the closest thing to “set it and forget it” for protecting a vehicle you actually drive.
A coating earns its place on your vehicle in two ways — how it protects, and how it makes ownership easier day-to-day. Here’s what a properly installed CCI ceramic coating actually delivers.
A ceramic coating that holds up for the long haul comes down to two things: the product, and the prep. We don’t cut corners on either.
We start with a paint thickness gauge on every panel and walk you through what we’re seeing under proper lighting — you’ll know exactly what we’re correcting before we start. Then a multi-step hand wash, iron remover, and clay bar treatment to strip embedded contamination. The paint has to be clinically clean before anything else happens.
Machine polishing to level the clear coat and remove defects — because a coating locks in whatever’s underneath it. Then a panel-wipe with IPA strips any polishing oils, leaving a clinically clean surface for the coating to bond to. No residue, no shortcuts.
The coating is applied panel by panel, leveled, and flashed under controlled lighting and temperature. It then cures fully before going back outside. We document the install with photos, register the coating with CCI and CARFAX, and walk you through the maintenance plan when you pick up.
Every package we install is CCI-certified, CARFAX-registered, and includes paint correction prep — because a coating is only as good as the surface underneath it.
Recommended for vehicle owners looking to simplify their car care, long-term paint protection, and increased vehicle resale value.

Every ceramic coating package includes paint correction as part of the prep — because a coating locks in whatever’s underneath it. If your paint has heavier swirls, scratches, or oxidation, we’ll recommend stepping up to Level 2 or Level 3 correction so the long-term finish is one you actually want preserved.

This truck didn’t look this good when it rolled off the showroom floor cannot believe the difference. Great job guys.Posted on Google Jayden NeillTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I couldn’t be happier with the work from O’Connor Detailing. They did a two-step paint correction on my truck along with a full ceramic coating, and the results are honestly better than I expected. The paint looks incredibly glossy like it just rolled off the showroom floor, if not better. You can tell they really take their time and care about the details. Every inch of the truck was treated with precision and professionalism. If you’re on the fence about getting paint correction or ceramic coating, I highly recommend going with them. Great communication, high quality work, and results that speak for themselves. Definitely worth it.Posted on Google Conner WielandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If your question isn’t here, just ask. We’d rather spend ten minutes on the phone than have you guess.
It depends on your vehicle’s size, the condition of your paint going in, and the level of coverage you want (paint-only vs. full vehicle including trim, glass, and wheels). Every quote we send is itemized and transparent. Send us your year, make, model, and a few photos of your paint — we’ll get back to you with a clear quote quickly.
The CCI coatings we install carry 3–5+ years of protection as a baseline, with lifetime warranty options available depending on the package and how the vehicle is maintained. Longevity comes down to two things: the prep work underneath the coating, and how the vehicle is washed and cared for after install. Done right and maintained properly, our coatings comfortably outlast every wax or spray sealant on the market — and they’re registered to your CARFAX so the protection follows the vehicle.
For most daily drivers in Central Illinois — yes. Between road salt, freeze-thaw cycles, summer UV, and the wear from highway driving, a daily driver takes more abuse than a weekend car. A coating dramatically simplifies washes, prevents oxidation, and protects resale value. A CARFAX-registered ceramic coating directly supports a higher resale number when you sell or trade.
Wax sits on top of the paint and washes off in weeks. Ceramic coating chemically bonds to the paint and protects it for years. They’re not in the same category — they just both end with “shine.”
Yes — at minimum a light correction. A coating locks in whatever’s underneath it. If you coat over swirl marks, water spots, or oxidation, you’re sealing those defects in for the life of the coating. Every package we install includes paint correction as part of the prep.
Sometimes — but most “new” vehicles still need at least a light paint correction. Dealership lot washes, transport, and PDI often leave swirl marks before the vehicle ever reaches you. We inspect the paint when you bring it in and let you know what’s needed.
A ceramic coating is a multi-year commitment, and the marketing around it is loud — lifetime claims, dealership “ceramic” add-ons, cheap sprays at the parts store. We made a short video series cutting through the noise, straight from the shop, so you can make an informed call before you book anywhere. Including with us.
